I kinda know the owner; he seems normal. He did not consult me on this purchase. Which is good, because I don't like to turn down business.

Hi! I'm looking to buy a useless vehicle. Money may be tight but aesthetics are no object.

We all tend to hate and to laugh at the ridiculousness of this. But I have seen too much posts and images of them on the road. The thing is actually selling Good!

These were $50k new.
So, you would have had to pass up an M3, A new Vette, An E Class, A Jaaaag and an S5. You have to say "No way man, those can stay on the lot, I'm getting me a CrossCab!" and mean it without a hint of irony. This is a thing thousands of people did across the market lifetime of this vehicle.
I recommend not thinking about that too hard, unless you enjoy aneurysms.

That is horrid for a full year nation wide. Nissan must be losing tons of money on them.
Peak year was 2012 3,278.

Theyre appearance is growing on me as I see more of them, but I dont understand why it exists, as interesting as it is, its even more forgettable. and it really has no function

Maybe he got a killer deal on it? I like the idea that a manufacturer is willing to sell something different, but this thing is ugly and useless and presumably drives like oh, I don't know, a Sebring or Solara? I feel like weird cars can't have all of those three negative traits. If it'sgoing to be ugly and useless it had better drive like a McLaren F1. If it's going to be useless and drive like crap, it had better look like an E-Type. If it's going to look like Britney Spears did without hair and drive like a bus with flat tires, then it had better be as useful as a full size Range Rover.
